The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League - Women in Mission (LWML) is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. Lutheran Women in Mission are about Mites, Missions, Mentoring and More Bible Study!
We accomplish this by:
1. The use of small mite boxes to collect our change left over after we pay for something in cash. Mite boxes are located in the Lobby of the current church. When filled, women (and men) place them in the large Mite box, and our Treasurer collects the little boxes, deposits the money and sends a check to our Zone Treasurer. Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and the occasional paper money may not seem like much, however, when multiplied by the 6,000 LCMS congregations, truly adds up! Our National 2007-2009 Mission Goal is $1,190,000.00.
2. We trim postage stamps to sell to stamp collectors, and this money also goes to fund missions.
3. Programs for women -- we plan to survey our ladies later this year to be sure the programs we want to offer are relevant, and mesh with our Mission Statement.
4. Fellowship activities such as Teas and Luncheons. We usually have a speaker and provide an opportunity for our Ladies to contribute to a local mission.
Our Pledge:
In fervent gratitude for the Savior’s dying love and His blood-bought gift of redemption, we dedicate ourselves to Him with all that we are and have; and in obedience to His call for workers in the harvest fields, we pledge Him our willing service wherever and whenever He hath need of us. We consecrate to our Savior our hands to work for Him, our feet to go on His errands, our voice to sing His praises, our lips to proclaim His redeeming love, our silver and our gold to extend His kingdom, our will to do His will, and every power of our life to the great task of bringing the lost and the erring into eternal fellowship with Him. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for giving me all that
I have. Bless these mites that I give back to You so that
